Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Feint (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a striking training app that uses your device’s camera to track and score your movement in real time. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have.

The short version

Your camera feed is processed entirely on your device. Video never leaves your phone, is never recorded, and is never uploaded anywhere. The app does not require an account. There’s no sign-up, no email, no password. We collect limited, anonymous usage data to fix bugs and understand how the app is used. If you subscribe, your purchase is handled by Apple and our payments provider — we don’t see or store your payment details.

Camera and movement data

Feint uses your device’s camera and Apple’s on-device body-pose technology to detect your movement and classify your punches. This processing happens locally, on your device, in real time. The app does not record, store, transmit, or upload your camera feed or any video at any point. No footage of you is ever sent to us or to any third party.

Your training stats — streaks, punch counts, session history — are stored locally on your device. They are not tied to your identity and are not uploaded to a server.

No account required

Feint does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or password to use the app.

Analytics

We use PostHog, an analytics service, to understand how the app is used — for example, which features are used, how often training sessions happen, and where users encounter problems. This data is anonymous and tied to a randomly generated device identifier, not to your identity. We do not use this data to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it.

Crash and error reporting

We use Sentry to automatically detect and diagnose crashes and technical errors, so we can fix bugs. Sentry may collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time of a crash. This information is used solely to improve app stability and is not used to identify you personally.

Subscriptions and payments

Feint offers an optional premium subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and subscription management is handled by our payments infrastructure provider, RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.

To manage your subscription — including free trials — RevenueCat associates your purchase with your Apple ID via an anonymous identifier. This is used only to verify your subscription status and restore your purchase if you reinstall the app or switch devices. No personal profile is created.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, contact list, location, photos (outside of live camera processing described above), or health data. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Children’s privacy

Feint is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
